Dr. Pierce graduated from Colorado State School of Veterinary medicine in 1998 and has been practicing small animal medicine in Colorado Springs ever since. The best part of veterinary medicine for her is meeting and working with people who love their pets and building a bond with them from the new pet checkup through the entire life of their animals.
She shares her life with three spoiled cats and one angelic cairn terrier. She misses having the chaos of ferrets rampaging through the house since Zing and Quittit, the bratty pair of deaf girls have passed after long, rowdy lives.
In her free time Dr. Pierce likes whitewater rafting, a skill she acquired working as a raft guide in the summers during vet school. If not on the river you may find her in the garden, digging up fossils around the western US, or maybe behind the sewing machine making a quilt.
