Dr. Shumack graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. While in veterinary school, Dr. Shumack was part of a whelping and neonatal care team and was president of the Society for Theriogenology (reproduction) Club. In her clinical year at Auburn, Dr. Shumack received the Clinical Proficiency in Theriogenology Award. Dr. Shumack wrote multiple reproductive case studies and competed in-case presentations throughout veterinary school. Dr. Shumack enjoys general practice medicine with an emphasis in reproduction and surgery, she is currently pursuing a specialization in reproduction.
Dr. Shumack is currently a member of the Colorado Springs Kennel Club and enjoys showing in conformation. Dr. Shumack owns Dachshunds and English Setters, but also has three cats to entertain her at home. Currently her time is filled with her growing family, but she enjoys being outside in beautiful Colorado.
